Students earning a Ph.D. through the Programs in Biomedical Sciences work in cutting-edge facilities while engaging in a curriculum that focuses on core issues in biomedical research and professional development. At the end of the first year, students choose mentors and enter one of the following programs:

The Department of Epidemiology and Public Health offers graduate programs both for practicing health professionals and students newly entering the field, including:

The Department of Physical Therapy has been consistently rated as one of the top ten physical therapy programs in the United States, offering a three year, entry-level clinical Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and an academic Ph.D.
